Meet the Chiropractors:
Chris Charlton
B.HMSc, M.Chiro
It was Chris' love of sport that led him to his passion for Chiropractic and it's associated benefits to health and peak performance. Through regular Chiropractic treatment, he soon realised that he not only felt great on the sports field but in all aspects of life. The results were amazing, stronger in the body - clearer in the mind.
In 1995 Chris graduated with a Bachelor in Human Movement Science at Southern Cross University before embarking on a Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University. Upon graduation in 2000, Chris packed his bags and decided to combine his travel aspirations with his new profession and spent two years working in clinics in Scotland. It was during his stay overseas that Chris gained valuable experience treating everyone from new born babies to professional football players.
In 2003, Chris returned home and founded Castlecrag Chiropractic. Along with establishing his business, Chris took up a roll teaching neurology and spinal adjusting skills at Macquarie University, where he continues to work today.
Chris believes that everyone should be proactive when it comes to their health. Castlecrag Chiropractic focuses on maintaining healthy families and welcomes everybody from new borns to the elderly (with the clinic's eldest client now 95 years old!)
Chris is married to Brooke and they have three beautiful, healthy young children, Dominique, Patrick and Max. When not spending time with the family, Chris is usually seen running around on the soccer field playing for the local Northbridge Football Club. His other passions in life, other than sport, include reading, writing, watching movies and studying Chiropractic Neurology.
Chris feels that it is extremely important that he visits his chiropractor on a regular basis in order to keep on top of his game both professionally and in his family life. He also regularly adjusts his own family to ensure that they are at their best both physically and mentally.
"I am very blessed to have chosen a profession that is making a positive difference to everyday lives. It is so rewarding to see a person regain their health and improve their quality of life with a natural approach. I see miracles everyday! Chiropractic was, and continues to be, the perfect career choice for me and I look forward to providing you with the best care possible."
Andrew Ullo
B.ChiroSc, M.Chiro
Andrew is the latest addition to our team at Castlecrag Chiropractic. He graduated from Macquarie University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and later with a Masters of Chiropractic in 2010, with an impressive distinction average in the Masters program.
Having an interest in sports-medicine, Andrew was attracted to the profession of Chiropractic due to the personal benefits he experienced as a patient. Being an elite athlete, Chiropractic made a major difference not only to his low back, but also to his whole body.
Andrew has developed a special interest in the areas of acute and chronic pain management, sports injuries and rehabilitation. He also aims at restoring structural and functional abnormalities, empowering individuals through education about their health and addressing lifestyle factors to make sure his patients are not just pain free, but in the best health achievable.
Andrew plans to regularly attend seminars throughout Australia in 2011 and beyond, allowing him to stay up to date with the latest scientific research and most effective techniques in the management of the spine, sports and work-related injuries.
Andrew loves getting to know all of our patients here and is looking forward to meeting more of you soon.
